Model portfolio
A model portfolio, often called a blend, is a defined set of strategies or securities with target weights, applied to many accounts at once rather than constructed per client.
Models turn investment decisions into something repeatable. Instead of an advisor making the same judgment four hundred times, the judgment is made once and applied consistently, and any change propagates to every account assigned to it.
The operational value is in the propagation. A model that has to be applied by hand to each account is a document, not a model.
